Pokémon Metal Collection (ポケモンメタルコレクション) are a series of metal figures that stretches from 1997 all the way to present, making them one of the longest-running Pokémon product lines. They come in a variety of colors; the original 151 for instance came in not only more "natural" metal colors such as gunmetal, copper, and shiny gold, but fun colors such as purple, green, and blue. From the Gold and Silver series on, the colors are limited to the "natural" colors, however.
Starting with DP series 8, flat coins with a Pokémon molded into it were also added into the series.
As far as it is known, all 151 Pokémon were included. However, the Johto Pokémon included in this series are largely unknown, and are listed currently until complete set information can be gathered. Available colors (for the Johto Pokémon) are gold, silver, copper, brass, and pewter.
There were 10 sets in all, and ran from 1997-2001.
Up to DP 7, the available colors are gold, silver, dark gold, copper, and gunmetal gray. From DP 8 on, the colors are gold, silver, brass, and gold-copper.
